This is common on newer cars. There is variability, so some flare up a bit more than others. Someone there has found a way to defeat (fix) it, but I'd be hesitant to do that on a car with a brand new warranty.

TPS = Throttle Position Sensor. 2 out of 3

Will check with the dealer when I go in for an oil change.
Btw Mithril, are you driving a 2008 model also??
Anybody else having this prblm with a 2007 or 2006??

Oooops!..... I knew I forgot something! I have a 2006 2LT with the 2.4.

I have the same or similiar problem with the 04 cavi we have. From time to time when slowing down like to pull into the drive way you'll let off the gas and then push in the clutch and the damn engine will rev to around 2,000 and stay there until you let the clutch out or stomp on the gas pedal a few times. I just figured it was a crappy cheap car and have been dealin' with it.

My 1989 Cavalier RS did the same thing (rev go up when clutch pushed in). It had the 2.8L V6 with MPFI.
