Well just wanted to add this.
I am now dealing with great dealer near me the service writer is great to deal with.
Although it did need the alignments and although GM did not reimburse me for them I was happy that the car was driving better down the road.
I did want to mention to anyone experiencing the car wandering or pulling that I had my steering column checked since it had been making a clicking knocking noise.
Tech confirmed it was worn.
Picked it up not only is the noise gone but the car drives like a whole new car.
and all signs of drifting or pulling are gone it tracks great now.Not sure why that would help other than maybe there was more play in the steering column than I thought or maybe some binding.
either way wanted to throw that info in here in case anyone else was experiencing that especially with an SS.
I am very happy to have found such an awesome dealership to deal with.

bigjack, did they replace anything, or was it just an alignment?

Mine makes noises that I assumed were due to the FSB and its mounts and links, but haven't checked it out yet. Too busy with other stuff. Just curious to see if you learned something else here.

Alignment was off a bit
no parts replaced
But had the steering column replaced due to knocking noise and feeling over bumps
Helped tremendously with the car tracking down the road properly and taking bumps better

I am so happy that your HHR issues have been resolved by a great dealership. I hope you will have a great Summer with her (HHR).
