Going in at 1145 mi :(

well at 1145 miles my Panel is going in for a whistle under the hood when the engine is idling under 1000 rpm. Its a 2007 LS Panel 5Spd. Cluth in or out makes no difference so I think I can rule out my throwout bearing. It really sounds more like sucking air to me but I cant find it myself so it goes in tomorrow morning for some warranty work. And the fun really begins... Has anyone else heard of or had this problem and what was the remedy? anything helps Thanks!

also on another topic ...I was sitting still the other morning waiting to turn and all of a sudden my speedometer tapped 120 for about 2 seconds and went back to zero, there was no change in engine speed and the clutch was fully depressed. anyone heard of or had this ???

You really shouldn't worry, they have 98,855 miles to figure it out

I had a funny noise, it turned out to be the electric fan for the cooling system. It comes and goes but I think it is a normal sound. It was more like a tone than a whistle though.

So, I took it to the Dealer this morning. Of course there was the expected, "Never heard of that problem before." its such a cop out to actually finding the problem. So I left it there and apparently by 515 this afternoon when I picked it up nearly every mechanic in the shop had looked at it. However, no solution was found and the service advisor said they called it in to GM, yet another cop out for "we are all to dumb to find the problem". I then told him I would bring it back monday so they could continue trying to find the problem. Working at a dealership myself I know that when a car that has a problem with no solution ready known it sits if the custoomer is not there often checking on it so I will drop it off and pick it up every day.
