06 HHR 2.2 LT1, warped rotors at 6000,9000,and 30,000. Machined each time. Just replaced with EBC dimpled and slotted rotors, and green pads. I am in love with my HHR again!

So is this something that the dealer will cover under warrenty or is this considered a wear item and we have to foot the bill. My wife has complained to me about the breaks on the HHR but I cant get it to do it "as bad" as it is when she is driving. I can tell that they are wharping under my normal driving but they have darn near shook her off the road they were so bad.

They will most likely cover it, but it will be a resurface not a replacement. If they follow the TSB instructions the work may last but many on the board have had the warping return.

i had to replace my rotors at 20 k miles. i am not hard on my brakes, but they were done. i replaced them with autozone oem replacements rotors and pads and seem to be a lot better, i have over 23 k on the new set and no warping so far.

I didn't read all before taking poll. My 06 has 57k and no brake probs ever, even towing. Lost a thermostat once and a taillight, other than that its been a great car. 2lt always over 30 mpg highway 28-29 in town.

Ditto for me - mine sat at various dealers for six months - picked it up on a Saturday and took it back two days later to have them turned.

06, 17K, no issues. Lot rot... Mine sat on a back dealers lot in Miami for 10 months before coming to me in SC. Still no issues with the brakes.
