My 2001 and 2003 Malibus both had the failure. If it's out of warranty, you can do the fix yourself, provided you have the skills and are flexible enough to do some Cirque du Soleil acrobatics to get yourself in position
HAHAHA
Count me out then!

Had same problem with my DB 2LT and took it to the dealer and they had to replace the whole fan blower assembly... All under warranty so not a problem..

My 2000 Venture had this problem too...easy fix if you're flexible enough - even in a van...

I have noticed the same thing as JimDaddyO about the rear wiper. Guess that's the way it is - I don't really leave it on continuous that often.
Wish the rear washer had a squirt first frature like my Vibe had - less streaking and noise on a dirty rear window.

OK, the results are
blown resistor for the blower
the rear wiper is supposed to have a bit of delay between cycles
new rotors on order
Got a big check up on it, and serviced, synthetic oil about $80.
The brakes, wiper and blower were all gratis.

So, my car is fixed now, too!

They replaced the blower motor, the blower motor resistor and one fuse. A total cost of almost $400. But I got an extended warranty, so it wasn't that bad for me!

Not trying to hi-jack the thread or anything but I just started having an issue with my rear wiper. Sometimes while on, the wiper will stop in the middle of the window or when it is completely at the top of the wipe. It will restart and continue on its merry way whenever it feels like it. When it is stopped if I click the switch off and back on it will resume also.

Someone else had that problem and the dealer replaced the switch.
