I can live with the idea GM screwed up with a non-adjustable front suspension, as some said in past posts.
Thing is; I put new LCAs, Struts, Bearings, Axles on my old 2008 and the tires wore fine for 2 sets of 70,000 mile tires, with no alignment. I just don't get it.

To get the emoticons you need to either quote a post or "go advanced" on a quick post.

Cool, Thanks Don.

To replace all those parts and go 140K without ever getting an alignment is something. I guess you managed to have all parts that bolted up back in the range of specs.

For me, this car has 150K now, and it is the first time I am doing any really work to it, as for replacing major parts.

I came home feeling so good about the car today, I decided to do an oil change, and replace the rear brake shoes.... Holy cow... getting the drums off was a nightmare. I could not get the self adjusters to spin and loosen up.... I swear, I was screaming to God almighty, that if I ever got my hands on the engineer that designed those things, I would waterboard him myself to find out why... He has to be a sadist.

I still have not figured out how to get the drums off on my 2011. They changed the them in 2010, it's not just the adjuster. Next time I get state inspection I'm gonna watch closely.
