Did you drain all the fluid from the transmission and converter?

So... I put another 6 qts of fluid in and it did it again one time but the second time it drove. I didnt have the time to actually take it around the block, but I have a feeling the who helped didnt put the right amount of fluid in. Im going to run it for a little while and check the fluid level again. Thanks for all the help! But once shes running she's getting signed over to a new owner.

as for bolting the torque converter on.. I'm not sure. I made sure they were lined up and then bolted the flywheel to the converter. sound right?
Be sure to check the level the right way, The bolt hole on the end of the case WHILE the engine is running and the temp is 104F car level. And yes 9 Qts is for a drain & fill not a empty & fill, so like 3Qts live in the TC.

So... I have put 11 Qts in... I checked the levels but the fluid still isn't dripping from the check plug. I had the wifey drive it around for a little while this evening, she says at the end of her drive that it was shifting a little hard (jerking) into gear. So that can be consistent with low fluid. I'm going to add another 2 qts in the morning after we warm it up... When she got home it was pouring rain and I wasn't going to roll in the mud to check it.

Exclamation Update...electrical?

So This morning was hell. It runs and drives but when you **** into gear it gives a good kick or thrust, then while driving it shifts hard, also the radio unit is out, not even the clock, as well as an o2 sensor. So my thought it something electrical is to blame. any more ideas?

Yes, something electrical. O2 sensor has a heater on it that requires electric, however it may be the "computer" is rebelling against the new trans, I don't remember if you said you changed the TCM or not, either way could be a problem.
