Help! I broke a bolt

I have a 2010 HHR 2.2 Manual trans. I was replacing the front lower engine mount and snapped one of the bolts. The lowest most bolt is the one i snapped. Does anyone know the exact size and where I can get one?

Take it to the hardware store and they will be able to match it.

to the forums!

I can't even find a part number. Take it to your GM parts department, they should be able to identify it and order it. They may even stock it.

Go to a GM dealer, tell them where it was and show it to them.

Here's the problem, that bolt isn't even shown on the diagram. The other 2 are shown, but notice that the identifying numbers differ (#14 and #15 ) hinting that they may be different from each other. Usually (not always) if it's the same part number, the identifying number will be the same.

Even then, the other 2 bolts are not listed, no part number, no description, nothing.

You could remove the other 2 and see if 1 of them match the broken one. At least give the parts guy a fighting chance. Or go to a wrecking yard (pull-a-part, etc.)

Isn’t it bolt 10 ? Or maybe 12? Front lower mount?

if it’s the bolts for the engine mount there are two like #14 and one #15 it’s shorter

He did say engine mount. The rest are transmission mounts.

Ok, if it is indeed engine mount, then it's #14, that'll give the parts guy something to look for.
