My 2006 hhr battery does not keep the charge! I have done the following: new battery, new alternator took it to the chevy dealer but still does not hold the charge! Have taken the battery out and had it charged overnight. Battery died three days later. All fuses were checked one was weak fixed that lasted two weeks! I did not stArt the car for 26 hours when I did it would not start!

So, does "taking it to the dealer" do some magic? Did they do anything? Just parked it on the lot? Did they say anything to you?
My wild guess, based on my personal experience, is that you turn your head lights on instead of to auto. The Owner Manual is available here : https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/gene...s-manual-3074/

Sounds like you need to check it for a drain. If you don't know how, take it to someone that does.
Not one of those things that you can diagnose over the internet.
P.S. "One fuse was weak" ????? Sorry, but there's really no such thing as a weak fuse.

add to the list: leaving a cell phone charger/GPS etc plugged in, miswired aftermarket stereo/amp running, not turning off the interior lights
Firemangeorge is pointing you in the right direction - you need a mechanic to check out what is draining the power, and have them check the battery (as redridehhr said, just cause the battery is new doesn't mean it's good)

and just in case - check the battery terminals. Sometimes , it is covered by a layer of oxide.

I had a 5 month old battery that would keep a charge only if I started my HHR everyday. I could not believe a new battery could be bad, but after the responses received here I took it back to Autozone. Turned out the "new" battery was bad.
