I used a jack and jack stands in my driveway, took off the right front tire and the inner fender panel , it’s pretty much right there, some bolts from the top, some from the bottom, the balancer slide right off, didn’t need a puller.
Like I said it’s fairly easy, btw, I’m 64, and no spring chicken anymore.

Haha nice! Im almost 44, female, and partially disabled. I do have jack stands and a floor jack. Last time I did a timing chain was maybe 1997 on my 73 Charger. Ive only just started learning how to work on my HHR. Not confident I can pull off doing the timing chain by myself. Today i started pulling stuff apart to diagnose the cylinder 2 misfire by switching the coil packs on 4 & 2, but my 10mm socket is MIA!! The struggle is real!!!

The misfire is most likely due to the timing chain. I don't think anyone has ever reported a bad coil, except for shops throwing parts around.

I changed the coil myself today on cylinder 2. It is running and starting better, i can tell the timing is still off. Timing chain kit should be here hopefully by Friday.

If I was closer, I could hand you the wrenches, and coach you what to do first then in sequence to finish the job. I like the Wildwood area!

Your 206 2.4 will have VVT, so those cam gears aren’t required , they are for the non VVT 2.2
That’s a good price but when it arrives take a picture of the tensioner , so I can see if it’s new style for the VVT Ecotec’s

All the other parts are fine. Did you find you 10 mm socket?
