Help With O2 Sensor Please

My check engine light came on so I had an Advance Auto person run the test. They said it was the O2 sensor, so I bought one to replace it. Could they have been wrong? Is there much to changing it myself?

nope but go back to the auto parts place and get the right socket to remove it..unplug then remove it...put in the new one and replug it in....but you may also want to remove the battery cable for 2 hours so everything resets.......or if you got a big enough adjustable wrench that will work also

If your light is still on I would have the code read again. if you have a lean code it could be a 02 senser but there are lots of other things that can cause it as well. diagnostics using just the code is more of a guessing game. a code helps you find the system thats not working correctly but rarely tells you what part to change without more tests.
