Nah.....you'd have to see it to understand what I'm describing I guess. According to my dealer, they started this in 2008 on the HHR but he's been known to be completely full of it from time to time

Shouldn't be a problem. If you're worried about it, buy a new ground cable, the short one.

The short ground cable is only available as a 2-piece set including the 15' ground to the engine bay. In fact, it's more than the positive (at like $240)

Mostly inside the passenger compartment under the rug – don’t know where it penetrates the firewall.

Seems like putting a new end on existing cable would be the way to go. Probably one with a standard connector. When I get a chance, I'll check my 2007 to see what type connectors it has.
