Is the actuall dash? like the rough part? does the part that is peeling feel the same as.. lets say the passenger side air bag? or is the trim piece that surrounds the radio and HVAC controls?

Sounds to me that the dash was screwed up before you bought it...and they painted it for some reason. There should be nothing painted on the interior of the car, all molded plastic...something wrong here! Todd (Uma)

yea its the dash(scratch-n-sniff trim is also scratchin away)and yes it feels the same as the pass airbag(even same tint of color).i had an 05 cobalt coupe that i bought new in 05 that had this same problem but it was fixed under warranty 2 times with new dashes. i'm going to take some pics today but its kinda hard to see the peeling cause it hasnt peeled yet(just starting to buble) but i can show u the spot on top of the instrument cluster. its kinda hard to explain the peeling, its like if you run ur fingers over the area you can feel the paint startin to bubble and the part on top of the instrument cluster started off that way before it started to peel off. the dash is the same texture and color as my dads 08 2LT with ebony int.

The only peeling dashes that I have seen over the last 8 years or so, were also heavy users of Armorall or a similar product. That's not to say everyone who uses the products will have peeling occur, but it's always the common denominator. I wouldn't touch my cars/trucks with the stuff.
