FYI they are called Assist Steps if you buy them as an accessory, If you have to replace them they are called Rocker Panel Moldings and I call them ROCK GUARDS.

Wagoneer smiley faces are fun, try them some time.

So has anyone convinced the dealer to give them a better deal on "Rock Guards"? If you did...How?

My only opinion on this and what I worked out with my dealer on my previous HHR is that the boards would be installed at the cost of what the boards would have cost if purchased with the vehicle.

I think they have to repaint the damaged area one time only.So you should be able to use the cost of the repaint against the cost of the running boards.
