I fixed it, it's a 2.2 ls. The LT can have the 2.4

Just for clarification... Are you saying some were white while others were black? If so, did you keep track of what cylinders they each came out of?

Oops I don't remember which one was white and which was black but I remember it was alternating. ie white plug, black plug, white plug, black plug.

I also noticed every time the engine putts it pulses like cabin lights with each one.

Thanks you for everyone's help. I just checked the codes since I just got home from work and it has a p0326 (knock sensor) bank 1 code pending. I also noticed the putting has become way more frequently as o was driving home

That doesn't necessarily me the sensor is bad... It means it's sensing something bad.

The P0326 means the ECM commanded spark retard at a given load and speed is more than the calibrated value. I.E.: there is a knock.

Is there a way I can figure out the cause of this at home? It seems to only knock at idle and in first gear, then disapears at speed

Check the knock sensor, is it tight? Connections clean and tight?

The knock sensor is essentially a microphone. If there is something banging from vibration it will sense it as a knock.
