HHR randomly flashes brights on and off while not touching control arm
My wife has been having a problem that just started. While sitting at a stop light she noticed her high beam indicator light would randomly flash on and off. She later noticed that her high beam lights were actually flashing as well. This all happens while not putting any input in the steering wheel or turn signal arm. Any ideas what may be causing this?

I see from your profile that you have a 2007 model, so check the "High Beam" relay in position #72 in the underhood fusebox. With the vehicle running and the lights on, you may hear the relay cycling rapidly, if it is...you've found your culprit.
I had a similar failure on my '06 with virtually identical symptoms.
If you're missing your owner's manual with the fusebox diagrams, click the link below and then your model year to download a free copy in PDF form.

So I am learning more about this each day and it seems to be more consistent. I'm finding I'm also super slow to respond as well.
Since my last post I have found that something is draining the car battery. I found today that the high beam indicator light is always on now and the radio's lights are always on. I located the previously mentioned relay. In touching the relay I found it was really warm so I removed it. I found that the high beam indicator light and radio lights stay on but now the actual high beam headlights are off. After removing this relay I left the car sitting. I returned a few hours later and found the indicator light and radiolights were still on and my battery was actively draining. I also removed both high beam fuses, but have the same results.
I also tracked down the fuse for the radio and removed it. Now the radio lights and the key fob don't work. Hoping this will save the battery until I can figure this out.
