Horrible noises!!
So, I got me a burned out front driver side hub bearing.
I found the hub/bearing assembly online for fairly cheap.
Does anyone know if the hub assembly bolts right in and out or does the bearing or shaft have to be pressed in place.
Any body done this already. Need pointers. I've done a hub swap on my Jeep, but I'm afraid of going down on a GM.

You might want to look to see if your HHR has backing plates behind the rotors. If it doesn't have them now would be a good time to install them since you have to pull the hubs to install them. Early HHRs didn't have them. They replace the ring thats under the hub.
Chevy added them after complaints about noisy brakes cause by dirt build up on the back of the rotors, at least thats the story I got from the people here on the board.

Once again great information we will eventually need and use...Thank you!! All is welcomed by me, I save it all. I have a 2008 and it already has had the driver's side front wheel bearing replaced under warranty so this might be of value very soon..
