How hard is it to change the camshaft position actuator?

bugo - good advice from 843de - but you still have not said what the CEL code was, even though it has been asked for previously!!!!!! Come on man, help us out, so we can point you in the right direction.
I'll repeat my previous post here: "Without the CEL code (the alpha-numeric code, and NOT a verbal description) I hesitate to comment. You refered to the part needing replacement as a solenoid and then later as a sensor - they are two totally different things."

Just get a printout, or record every single code their scanner comes up with.
Then post 'em up here, if you focus on one particular code instead of all the stored codes, you can end up wasting time and money going up a blind alley.
Some codes are the start of a "Cascading Failure", some are symptoms of a failure that's occuring somewhere else.

Ok, as per https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...13-14-a-28779/ the codes you have indicate a problem with the INTAKE SOLENOIDS.
the GM part no. to replace the Intake Solenoid = 12655420
the GM part no. to replace the Exhaust Solenoid = 12655421
It isn't absolutely necessary to replace them both, but most people do, as they aren't that expensive and while everything is apart most prefer to swap them both out.
Aftermarket parts are available at most autopart stores, but I'd recommend getting genuine GM ones as the aftermarket ones may not have kept up to the revisions GM has made.
See the first posting in the above link for the procedure to swap out the solenoids.

I replaced the solenoids today. It took less than an hour. The most tedious part of it by far was getting the engine cover off, which wasn't hard once I saw how it was done. Now to see if it fixes the problem.

PLEASE ........ DON'T KEEP US WAITING TOO LONG?
You should be able to tell that it is fixed right away! the car will drive normal and WILL NOT jump or take off crazy.
It is an easy fix and the dealer wants to charge you an ARM AND LEG to make the simple repair.
