How hard is it to change the camshaft position actuator?

If the CEL light was on, just prior to replacing the solenoids, dont forget that you can reset the CEL by disconnecting the NEGATIVE post on the battery for 5 minutes.

I removed the battery cable before I changed the solenoid. So far the car is running fine. I have a 200 mile trip coming up in a couple of days so I'll be testing it.

Thanks to everybody who helped. You helped me save $100 if not more. I didn't even know the solenoid existed until I posted this thread and now I have successfully çhanged one.

Congrates on a job well done!

You are 100% right about disconnecting the battery in the trunk area BEFORE YOU START ANY WORK on your car! Just remember to put a towel over the latch before you let it down.
