For one thing the races are part of the hub with ball bearings forced in between. I guess an enterprising individual could source the balls and cages from somewhere.

Now, the mechanic is going to not believe they are ball bearings.

Oh, I forgot, I’m also a mechanic, have a press .
My time ($85.00 per hour) doesn’t justify the extra work time.
just putting it out there.
of course it’s up to the individual to weigh the pros and cons.

I can do that in my free time at work. And I get $20 an hour - I don't know who pays $85 - probably u work alone. I sell that car because bought another. So I see no reason to waste money for hubs I replaced many bearings - it's fast and easy.

Sleeper my man - We will have to wait till he disassembles one if his own hubs, takes the measurements, then sources the components

I wonder how long it will take to discover there are no removable races. Nobody, since 2006 has thought to do this!

Hubs are now down to under $35, I saw a couple for $25.

Thread is devolving into nothing but speculation.
I do work by myself and have to pay the bills from that $85.00/hour.
the other shops around here are charging $115.00/hour, multiple employees and service bays.
If I caught an employee working on his own car without my permission, they would not be paid for that time, and receive a complimentary pink slip, and the rest of the day to search for other work or line up for unemployment office.
I’m old school, time is money and unauthorized use of my time is theft, I will not tolerate it.
