I feel for you Lincoln...I've had a problematic car that was nothing but pure hell...my 2004 Vue...the only decent thing that didn't break in that thing was the 3.5L Honda engine and tranny...everything else was pure crap. I think the Saturn techs almost rebulit the whole damn car for me. I was on a first name basis with the Service manager...we talked every week....they knew to reserve the loaner car for me every Tuesday......now on the flip side my wife has the exact same vehicle and in 100K all she has needed is tires, brakes and oil changes...that is it. Go figure
Sometimes you just roll the Chevy/Nissan/Ford etc dice and sometimes you crap out.
I sucks when you want to be happy with your ride and the damn thing just wants to do its damnedest to deny you that feeling

PS I sure hope that 300 rolls nice! That is a 30 something K ride!

I've work in customer service and I can tell you that attitude is 90% responsible for the service you receive. Yes you are the customer and yes my boss mandated that I treat you like royalty... However, once your problem is in my hot little hands, I was the one that was going to be searching out a solution. And your attitude dedicated how much time I spent looking for a solution. And if I had to contact someone else, your attitude went right along with the information request.
You have been presented with a couple of solutions here, but you don't seem to want to pursue them. Your choice. You can try to work with your dealer and find a solution, or you can tell then they are FOS. Again, your choice. Either way, I can tell you as a former CSR, the path you're taking is not going to easily lead to a solution.

Hey guy at least they are trying , a lot of dealers would have written you off by now. Give them a chance it will probably work out and then maybe you can really enjoy you HHR. At least I hope so. I understand your problem and would feel the same way but who knows maybe everthing will be A OK down the road. I hope so for your sake..
yeah...they are trying.....hopefully they get it fixed....its getting worse and worse...

I am really sorry to hear that as I love my HHR and yes I have had some minor problems with it but would not trade it for anything. I really really hope they resolve the problems with yours. If not they should give you a brand new 2008 for the trouble and time and maybe your luck will turn around with the HHR. Either way I support your decision as I would probably have bailed out a lot sooner had I experienced your problems. Hang in there and maybe it will all work out..
