Well, better to have it happen now instead of 5 years and 1 day later.

Now its on Their Dime. I know it's Frustrating, but ALL car makes no matter who makes them come off the assembly line now and then with a problem missed.

Hopefully they get it squared away soon for you and your on the road to 150,000 worry free miles.

What kinda Free rental car did they give you to drive? (Your Entitled to one)

I wouldn't lay awake at night Silverfox, figuring on about 75,000 or so assemblies made for the 2011 model year, there is bound to be a dud every once and again. If you look at the service history of the 4T45E Hydromatic, you'll see that they are pretty darn dependable on the whole.

I would be very curious to see what the diagnosis is on your transmission Nurseman27, keep us posted please, but you may find that the dealer just replaces the unit without really delving into the mode of failure.

Dear Nurseman27,

I have read your post about your 2011 Chevrolet HHR being in the shop with transmission issues. I would be very interested in how your situation is coming along.

Don't hesitate to contact me with questions and/or concerns.

Sincerely,
Michelle, Chevrolet Customer Service

Hopefully your good to go now!

My Mechanic says replace the timing chain at about 100,000 miles Before it goes, and these motors are Solid otherwise.
