not positive if the 2.2 uses separate coil packs like the 2.4, one directly over each spark plug..

IDK about the BEST, but the OEM coil packs are fine in mine.

My 2007 2.2 has individual coil packs over each plug.
Early to middle of the 2006 production run had a single coil pack for all of the plugs.
Evidently, during the start of 2007 (also later part of the 2006 production run) GM switched over to individual coil packs.
As far as what would be the best - Good question.

The ones the dealer would sell you most likely would be AcDelco as well. If I remember right, GMParts Direct had them for around $40. Check it out - your dealer might even sell them to you for the GMParts Direct price.

I would think it would be better to have the singles, that way if one goes bad you don't have to replace them all...
