Angry Ignition & displays dead

Another 2007 HHR problem. #1 Was directional tread tires: fixed with new tires #2 was radio display screen blank: fixed with a bang on the on/off button. Now #3: 2 times several months apart. Car parked after medium drive, NOTHING works with ignition, NOTHING.Normally mileage shows on display, not now. Chime sounds with door button. After multiple trys for about 30 minutes car starts normally. Battery test shows its good but alternator regulator is erratic & low. Is the regulator separate or not ?? Expensive replacement ?? Anyone with similar problem ?? Comments please.

I was having a problem with my old 2008, the battery would die from the radio playing for 20 minutes. Had the electrical system checked, battery fine Alternator fine, one of the guys mumbled something about the alternator flicking up and down, but within spec. Car died never figured it out.

Check all of the fuses under the hood for full seating. Or an intermittently bad alternator happens. That's all I got.
