My 2007 HHR is sitting dead in a parking lot. I've replaced the starter, alternator, battery and ignition coils (4). All it does is click once when I turn the key. I'm running out of patience. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to what may be wrong? Has anyone else had this problem? Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the site. Give me some info on what led up to you being in the parking lot. Was you driving and it stalled? Did you come out and it just wouldn't start? Any weird things happen before this no start condition?

Start by checking your electrical grounds. One of them is possibly loose or corroded.

If you have an auto club membership, you may want to have it hauled to your dealer or a mechanic.

Unfortunately, due to the complexity of the HHR's interrelated electrical components and control modules, it's time to call in the cavalry. Plus a technician can connect your vehicle to a Tech II scanner and interrogate its systems for stored trouble codes if any exist.

And a bit more background info would be super helpful as Lucky has already pointed out.

Yeah. Need some more history/info.

Fwiw. I would check the voltage at the starter before and when you try to start it.
Another easy check is the main power connection at the side of the underhood fuse box. There have been other posts on this site about the connection coming loose or breaking off.

oldblue. What I got from the OP was it's not turning over. He stated it would just click once when he turned the key.

Well I say check under the RED cap under the hood. Make sure it is tight. This the main power point for the engine bay.
