Ignition stuck in run position, had to pull fuel pump fuse...
So, yesterday I attempted to shut off my car and found the ignition locked in the run position. After attempting to shut it off for 10 mins I pulled the fuel pump fuse to kill it. After, I disconnected the battery so it wouldn't drain overnight, which wound up being a headache climbing through the backseats to reconnect it today. Now, when I try to start the car the console is saying "ENGINE POWER REDUCED/ENGINE DISABLED". Any ideas what to do to fix this?

and a quote from an old posting about releasing a stuck key:
"Page 2-22 of owners manual describes removing small plastic cover
(Approx. 3/4 " square) from the bottom of the steering wheel housing and pushing a small button towards drivers side, should release key, two handed operation.
Also had same the problem with a Cobalt (same set up) shifter button became stuck in the depressed position. A little coaxing released it also."

Haven't made it that far yet....car is sitting in my driveway and I don;t have a reader on hand. I've called the local GM dealership since my vehicle should be covered by the ignition recall. Waiting for the service manager to call me back.
