Thanks Guys...Just wanted to be sure.. Also hopefully this answered for some others as well..

Now if we could get the steering recall Canada got, that would be a good thing as well..

Sleeper, I'm told they re-use your tumblers so you keep the original keys! john

They said it could take a couple of weeks to a couple of months for a notice. You can always go down to your dealer and get it taken care of before you even get the letter. Just give them a call and set up an appointment
I had mine in and it was right on their computer screen.
And yes they use your old key.

Question

What is the procedure on refunds for those of us that already had it replaced and paid for it?

Somewhere else I noted, those that have paid for this malfunction can now be reimbursed up to sometime in 2014. Less than an hour after arrival, I was back on the road home. Whew! My dealer was awesome! Some bar in ignition cylinder loosened and jambed it up, requiring cylinder replacement. Can't say enough about my dealer, Superior Chevrolet in Merriam Ks. I was elated!
I am glad this was taken care of for you. If you would like me to look into a dealership compliment for you please send me a private message.

According to the information I have available to me at this time, there is a Special Coverage about this.

Took my paper work and the Bulletin Number to the dealer that did the replacement on mine this afternoon... They checked the bulletin and my repair paperwork, printed out the paperwork for the refund for me to sign and I was out the door in about 15 minutes.

2 to 3 weeks and I'll have my check.

Cheers
Doc
