force dry it and if you are really concerned a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol will both clean and cause additional drying. The design of the fob and the fact that you were not in salt water will likely keep this from being an issue

Yes the alcohol will work, open up the key fob and brush the alcohol all over the internal board, a clean toothbrush works great, let it dry and put back together.
I used to do this all the time to the electronis on my R/C Cars when I would race in the mud or rain. Never had a roblem!

Dude, I did the same thing when I went to a nearby lake. I forgot I had them on me, and just ran out in the water. But I just let the key fob dry, even though I remembered very quickly so they weren't under water that long, and it's still working. It's been a couple weeks since that happened.
