I just bought my first HHr. [congrats] Love it. anywho.

My interior lights will not shut off... no doors are open and no switches to turn them off... very irritating at night or on the morning drive to work... anyone see or hear of this problem before...? ( ._.)

 

Is this all lights? Are you sure they are switched off (or door mode).


Time to visit the dealer.

 

There's a little dial just above the radio and left of the airbag light on the center of the dash. It controls the dimming of the console and instrument panel lights. If you turn it all the way to the left it turns the interior lights on. Turn the dial back to the left and your lights should go off.

I had that same problem one night. I spent 5 minutes opening and closing all of the doors to make sure everything was closed and couldn't figure it out. The I just started pushing buttons and turning knobs until it worked. :)

 

BTW it's an 06.
to answer the first reply its all the interior lights. the under rearview mirror ones and the backseat domes. all the way to the right is ddor mode correct?

i have turned the dial you talk about a million + times that only controls the panel backlighting.

i say dealer time but i still wonder if anyone has heard of this...?

 

The 06 does not have the dome override switch.

To be honest, I have never messed with the rear dome lights. But the front is a on/off button. You will probably just have to take it in.

The Left-Handed Whopper:
Burger King published a full page advertisement in USA Today announcing the introduction of a new item to their menu: a "Left-Handed Whopper" specially designed for the 32 million left-handed Americans. According to the advertisement, the new whopper included the same ingredients as the original Whopper (lettuce, tomato, hamburger patty, etc.). However, the left-handed whopper had "all condiments rotated 180 degrees, thereby redistributing the weight of the sandwich so that the bulk of the condiments will skew to the left, thereby reducing the amount of lettuce and other toppings from spilling out the right side of the burger."

Jim Watkins, senior vice president for marketing at Burger King, was quoted as saying that the new sandwich was the "ultimate 'HAVE IT YOUR WAY' for our left-handed customers." The advertisement then noted that the left-handed Whopper would initially only be available in the United States, but that the company was "considering plans to roll it out to other countries with large left-handed populations." The following day Burger King issued a follow-up release revealing that although the Left-Handed Whopper was a hoax, thousands of customers had gone into restaurants to request the new sandwich. Simultaneously, according to the press release, "many others requested their own 'right handed' version."

I have an 06, and a few times my interior lights seemed to stay on. After recovering from my brain fart, I realized that the dome light was pushed on somehow--not thinking about how they turn on and off by pushing in on either side, not by a switch.
