Just tested, hard to tell whether or not the tweeter is clicking, might be. Definitely coming from the door, though.

The turn signal click, is generated by the radio, since electronic flashers are inherently silent, the sound comes from a small speaker in the A pillar on the drivers side. You will hear the signal clicking stop, if for instance you get a seatbelt warning tone. This is normal, system is apparently not great at multi-tasking.

On a vehicle with the standard radio the chimes are heard only on the door speaker, since the tweeters are driven by the RIGHT speaker signal.

On a car with the premium sound system the chimes can be heard from the door and the tweeter, since the tweeters are driven by the individual Left and right speaker signal.

I can provide schematics if there are any questionS. Everyone is correct for their car.

I've noticed that it only happens when the signal is used quickly in succession, for instance, getting on the freeway and then changing lanes less than 5 seconds later.

Then, that is because it hasn't finished one thing when another thing starts.

Thanx to everyone for their help. I'm pretty new to the 'modern auto' world.
