key fob = lock set
Howdy
When we had our lock cylinder replaced [ got reimbursed ] did they have to take the key fob apart, to reprogram? It doesn't work now, the battery hold down clip is broken loose.
thanks KK4

Maybe the dealer was "helping" by checking the battery in the fob, but that kind of help you don't need.
Here's the thread on fixing the solder joints......

No, they don't have to take the fob apart to program. But they may have "checked" the battery and exposed the broken bits, the case sometimes will hold the cage down after it has broken loose, open the case and boom.
