I just fixed 2 of them on my son's Cobalt using the fob case in the post above. A good test to see if the carbon on the rubber buttons is shot is to hold the bare circuit board in you hand, moisten a finger and touch the board where the carbon contact usually touches. In my case, the doors locked and unlocked every time, so we ordered the cases. PS, they come in colors as well if that's your thing.

OK, we should all know how to search Ebay by now.

Maybe not, a lot of people have asked things like "just where on Ebay should I look". I am totally amazed at how many people just cannot see a SEARCH box on any web site, they really do expect somebody to type a phrase into the box and then send them a link.

That should have disappeared when Alta Vista got started and you no longer had to pay someone to search the WWW for you.

I still do accept payment for doing searches on Google. It is not cheap, though.

That fob case (only) including the rubber pad is available online for $4.99. (Amazon) Got it yesterday, it now works like brand new again. Really inexpensive fix, took all of 3 minutes to switch the guts from the old fob to the new.
