Distance from the car should not come from dirty contacts. If it is transmitting the button codes it is a signal strength prob either send or receive.

I was asking what year because 2006 and 2007 the RCDLR is located in the driver side rear quarter, other years under the headliner next to the mirror. Anybody been messing with things in that area?

 

Okay, sprayed the board with contact cleaner, then changed the rubber push button pad. It increased from just outside the driver's side of the car to the front bumper. I am thinking, like Donbrew, that I need a new key fob due to transmitter or receiver failure. Please be transmitter from the FOB. I bought two. Will attempt to program tomorrow or Sunday. I have read on here and other sites that it should work up to 150 feet. One guy said his worked over 200 feet. He just might be a pro angler. I will keep y'all posted. Thanks.

How do you propose to program the new fobs? Do you have a programmer module?
