FYI, GM did add a "Special Coverage Provision" for 2008 & later HHRs' for a FREE ign switch replacement, for 10 years.
I have a copy printed & kept in mine just in case.. PS: Towing for this on 2008 & newer should be FREE.

Your 2012 post gives the info on SSP #12089 but it says only 2008 & 2009 HHR models.
Do you know if this has also been applied to 2010 & 2011 under the same Number?
