You know(preaching to the choir)...sometimes it's the little things that can make the whole picture ugly. Hopefully you'll end up with a big smile when all is said and done.

This isnt a Chevy, or a HHR problem...it is a common occurance with many cars on the road. I know that doesnt make you feel any better, but at least you shouldnt feel like the HHR is not a quality automobile.
The HHR has just under 24K miles. It's funny because the car has always felt well put together, but problems keep popping up. I seem to have had almost all of the common issues seen on this forum(in addition to the current issues, I have had the "stuck key", blower motor replaced, audio "pop" issues, and warped rotors). I did also have lots of trouble early on with my previous Accord, but it was flawless after the initial issues were resolved. I hope this car will be the same. The dealer treats us great though; more than could be said for the Honda dealership. I'll keep going back whenever Chevy has another car that I want to buy.

I hope they fix every thing, I guess I have been very lucky, I have just under 70K and I will have had mine for 2 yrs next month. The only problem that I had was my Brakes and they covered that under warranty.

Good Luck Bud

Ok, still haven't had the work done because the brake reservoir is on backorder and they have no ETA Anyone else running into that? I'm seriously considering having them do everything else and then going back for the reservoir. Oh and I now have a new issue: the remote start won't work when it's really cold.

Well, some of the repairs are done. Most importantly, they fixed the headliner rattle! The steering column replacement also got rid of most of the suspension noises. It still makes a groaning noise in certain situations but is much better. They had less success with the rear wiper though the switch didn't fix it. They thought they had it and told me they had even tested it out in today's cold, but wouldn't you know it as soon as I got into the car, the rear wiper was not working. The service advisor just said that since everything tested OK, they would just order a new wiper motor and hope that fixes it. He also said that mine was the first they had seen with any rear wiper problems at all, or the rattling headliner. Great that mine has these weird issues
So, now I am waiting on the rear wiper motor, lock cylinder(key is loose and shifts from run to off over really hard bumps) and still the brake reservoir is not in. On the plus side, I was told that when the parts do come in, I will get a free rental again no problem, even if it doesn't take an overnight stay for the repair. They also won't make me wait for the brake parts before working on the others, since there is still no ETA on that part.

after reading all the posts on problems here, it seems most of them happen when its cold outside. maybe most of them would quit if you moved to a warmer area, huh!

That would be nice, but my wife kinda likes living here for some reason. And I don't want a divorce so we stay in IL.

Well, wiper motor and brake reservoir are now on, so my car is in good shape! Hopefully I won't have any new problems for a long long time.
