Leaking wiper fluid

I have a 2011 1LT with 50618 miles. The reservoir will not hold fluid. As soon as pour it in, I get a steady stream down on the garage floor. Has anyone had this repair done at the dealer and should it be covered under warranty ?

You can pull the reservoir to see if the pump is loose, some folks have had leaks occur that way.

Also check the hoses, one may have popped off.

If the tank itself has cracked, call your dealer.

It is the washer pump has gone bad. Check with your dealer if you are still under the bumper to bumper. The good news is the pump is incredibly easy to install yourself and is available on Ebay for about $30 search phrase "HHR washer pump". No tools required, but may be handy, it's only held in by an O-ring.

Expect it to happen every couple of winters especially if you don't use "winter fluid".

Due to the mileage of your vehicle you are out of bumper to bumper warranty. I can check to see if there's a recall or TSB dealing with your concern on your vehicle. All I would need for that is your vehicle identification number. Once I have that information we can take the steps forward to get this resolved.
