I wonder if the SS's are lemons, considering more owners have more major problems with theirs as opposed to the non-SS's.

Just got a call from Chevy customer service, issue now to be handled by district manager. I'm assuming this is a good thing? Considering its been in the shop so much in just a month, should I still mail out an official notice according to my state laws thinking I might have Lemon? Or will this just complicate getting it fixed? The dealer working on it certainly seems to be trying hard.

District Manager
Usually getting the District Manager involved is a good thing, if the problem does not get resolved after a number of attempts, I would recommend advising the dealer not to return it until the problem is corrected (let them drive it for a while) while you drive the loner, since it is a safety hazard. If you decide to proceed under the Massachusetts Lemon Law as a last resort, here is the webpage - not sure if you have already visited it.

Seeing as you opted out of the GM 60 day return policy, the Lemon Law may be your only recourse if they cannot find the problem, hopefully they will find it.

Update
I've been driving a lovely TrailBlazer all week. I never heard from Chevy Customer Service again or the District Manager, but maybe they were in contact with the Service Department. The local dealer seems to be great, I get a call almost daily from the Service Manager with updates. It appears there was a connector, maybe under the fuse tray that was originally replaced, that was not connecting with a pin properly. So the connector was replaced today, and they've taken pictures to show what was wrong, and they planned to drive the car a bit before they were comfortable giving it back. Hopefully tomorrow!
