Smile Locking Gas Cap ?

I am Relocating to North Canton Ohio...I bought a 2007 HHR sunburst orange LT.... I wanted to get a Gas cap that locks.. cant find one....the only one that sells one is Advance parts, #11511 and it don't fit ..the gas door wont shut ...Does anyone know where I can get a gas cap?

You should be able to get a locking cap from your dealer, that's where I got mine and it works just fine. No problem with the door not closing either. It's the same cap that fits the Chevy S10 and GMC Sonoma pickups.

Hey ...Thanks for the Welcome !! looks like I got my answer from searching all the threads - cst 5504 is the locking cap i need ...just called the local autozone and picking it up this afternoon. Big Thanks to all of you !

North Canton is south of Akron....will be a resident in about 2 weeks.

These do work. A word of advice...when installing, do not push on the cap. If you do it will not go in properly. Just turn it with no force, lock it with the key and no problem. I always check, after Deb had her issue, to make sure it is secure, with a light tug. Never had it not in properly except the couple of times a pushed on it while turning. Great fuel cap.

I have the one from Wal-Mart btw.

I would imagine that the GM gas cap is made by the same company as the Auto Zone and Walmart caps. They look the same in the pics I've seen at any rate. GM probably just jacks the price up 50% or more. I had my locking cap a few years before there was an "HHR". I bought it for my '99 GMC Sonoma and they just switched over to the HHR when we traded.
