Long Trip Problems... Any ideas?
#11
Hi,
We just returned from a very long road trip - Toronto area to Florida. We put over 6000 kms on Fireball and all was well. She was great the whole way there and back. Aside from the ticking, which we still haven't gotten to the bottom of, she ran just fine.
However, we once had a Honda Accord and while driving home from Florida we had a similar problem as the one you are describing, when we tried to give it gas it started bucking wildly. We pulled off the interstate, and after a day in a hotel and a costly tow, we were told it was the fuel pump (on a new car as well) and we had put in bad gas. We are now very careful where we buy gas.
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Good luck.
