GM Cust Service opened up another case for me. Did no good as they absolutely refuse to reset the TAP unless a code is thrown. Regardless of the fact that this fixes the problem. It is so F'ng beyond me that a company of this size, age and stature would rather not do a simple thing to make a new GM customer happy. I will say this, I have to buy 25 fleet vehicles for work and I know one manufacturer that wont get a chance to bid. I want to thank Michelle again for trying, I do appreciate the effort.

QUESTION : DOES ANYONE KNOW IF PRIVATE GM service mechanics have the SAME scan tool as the dealerships do? Can I get this done somewhere other than a dealer?

It is not JUST the scan tool but also a GM program called TIS2000 (or perhaps a newer version) that the techs build your vehicle in and then it uploads the program into the techII. So not sure if non dealerships would have access to this or not.
