Major electrical problems after ignition replaced
#13
Ok, here goes. Start the car, rear wiper is on. Touch off button for rear wiper, shuts off car. Turn off ignition, remove key, I hear a click. Restart car, rear wiper is on. Try to operate windshield wipers, car shuts off. Repeat restart procedure (rear wiper on again, leave it alone). Try to operate AC, condenser kicks on, no fan. Replaced resistor and tested fan and fuses. No AC. I have no lights on the front of the car at all. No turn signals, head lights or spots (in bumper). Rear lights all work. Radio is intermittent and dash lights go haywire. I have a very unique automobile. It's hurting my brain and my wallet.

Cherck your PM.
Going by the thread title; All of this started immediately after the ignition recall was done? Then it is not your problem.
It sounds like some wires got crossed. The only thing all of those things seems to have in common is the run relay. Has anyone messed with the car since you had it? Any enemies?
The ignition switch is not really a switch; it is a key position sensor.
If these 2 wires somehow got reversed weird things could happen. The blk/wht wire is 5vRef and the wht wire is a signal to the BCM. Note the resistor in the switch.
Most "experts" in auto electric would assUme one is +12v and the other in Ground.
