MAP bad?

MAP bad?
HELP!!! If you are familiar with me, you know that for the past several months I have been having a problem that whenever my car does a burnout (and sometimes for not apparant reason) the T/C light comes on, and the car goes into some mode where it shifts very rough. Turning the engine off resets the computer, then the car is ok. Occassionally, I got the service engine light, with the codes CO561 (traction control) and PO106 (MAP sensor). When I took the car to the Chevy dealer, they said that the MAF was reading too much air and that I should have the computer retuned with a wider variance for the air flow. Yesterday I went back to Tune Time and they spent a great deal of time on my car, and on the phone with their technical people that make the 'tune'. They said it could not be the MAF, but thought the MAP could be responsible. They removed the MAP and cleanded it, then set the car back to stock, and after driving for about 10 minutes and doing many, many burnouts the T/C light came on. (Generally it came on after the first burnout, so I don't understand why it took so long this time). Next, they put in a different MAP (not technically the right part number) and I drove the car for a while and did more burnouts and the light never came on. They then gave it the most aggressive tune they have and told me I should get the right MAP sensor. The car is running GREAT-almost scary power. However, when I called the dealer, they told me that the MAP would not be warranty covered and a replacement cost $96 bucks.
Before spending that kind of money, I want to be absolutely sure that it will solve the problem. Plus, why doenst the warranty cover it????
Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, comments, etc.

I have basically the same tune as you and drive very aggressively, no burnout because my tires grip like glue, and haven't thrown any codes. My tune was to get as much HP as possible. Same shop too.
I'm guessing your dealer is saying it's not warranty because of the tune. I know they can't legally do that, but they can anyway make it a ***** for you.
Hope ya get it straightened out soon.

I do have the CGS and outlaw filter. Since it is less than a year old, I have not cleaned it. But I did clean the MAF. I did try the original K&N that came with the CGS and not only did I get the same T/C light, I also got the picture of the engine which means a serious code. That turned out to be either a MAF or MAP code.
So all you did was clean out the filter and you can do burnouts again without throwing any codes???
