MAP question

MAP question
I spoke with an automotive tech that specializes in computer problems. He explained to me what the MAF and the MAP (Manifold Ambient Pressure) do. My problem has can not have anything to do with the airflow (MAF). But either my stock MAP may not be working correctly, or my pressure may change too fast or with a greater variance than either the stock MAP can pick up or the computer can process. He suggested I check to see if there are other MAP sensors that may work better in my application. Does anybody here have any recommendations?

Well, I am back. (Just busy with other stuff-kids started school, etc).
And here is my T/C problem update. To refresh, sometime last year my car began having a problem anytime my wheels lost traction (burn out, wet leaves, etc). The T/C warning light came on and the car went into some kind of wierd mode where it shifted very hard. Turning off the engine for a few seconds reset everything. Then, the T/C light began coming on just from normal driving, and even idleing at a traffic light. Occassionally, I got the Check Engine symbol (which took a while or several restarts before the light went out). When I took the car in to the dealer, he changed the T/C computer with no success. Then, he told me that he got a MAF code but could not change it under warranty due to my CGS mod. I took the car back to TuneTime (they tuned my computer) and they set everything back to stock-still had the problem. Next, they checked for codes and got a MAP problem. A few days later, I took the car to another dealer. They also found a MAP code, along with 2 oxygen sensor codes. Again, they would not fix it under warranty unless I put the stock air cleaner back. Instead, I hooked up with the parts manager and got a new MAP for mechanics cost. After 30 seconds to change it, the car was fine for a few days then began throwing the code. Finally, I disconnected my vacuum gauge (tapped into the line next to the MAP sensor) and it did not help.
What next? The only other thing I can think of-----perhaps the T/C sensor was damaged after my MVA last January, and when it goes out it throws an errant code into the computer???
