Angry Might be Fixed

Just got back from the dealer for the 2nd time with the mirror whistle. First time they ordered the wrong part #. This time the mirror came in painted and should not have been. This was even after the service writer said he looked at the mirror that came in. They ended up swapping the brushed aluminum cover of the old mirror and put it on the new one. They also gave me 2 free oil changes and a tire rotation for my trouble. I am still considering a letter to the service manager and GM but may cool down soon. Will know shortly whether this fix worked.

They did not have to replace mirror. They just put some gasket material under the cover to seal the air out. It takes about 30 mins and they do not replace anything.

Don't leave them on all the time or you will have to. Often it will cloud the paint on the mirros if it gets wet and sits in the hot sun.

Bras and Mirror bra's are for short term use only.

My '10 LS was whistling the other day while I was doing 70+...doesn't do it until I reach those speeds. Glad I did a search and found a highly probable cause.
