More traction and ABS

I also have an 07 2.4 with A/T. My "Service traction control" message first appeared after I got new front tires. They are the same size, 215x50x17, but are from a different manufacturer than are the rear tires. I believe that the "Traction control Off" message is from slightly different diameters of the front and rear tires, throwing off the ABS. The hard shifting comes on only when I have the air conditioner running. So, I believe that the computer gets mixed-up and since the ABS is not functioning properly, neither is the transmission functioning properly. I would suggest checking into the "Traction control Off" condition.

Unless the shop causes some kind of damage(maybe to wheel sensors or wiring), putting new tires on is not going to cause any of these issues, or any issues at all.

You need to have a mechanic diagnose the issues you have experienced. The common code readers that the auto parts stores use cannot read ABS codes, but a real mechanic with a Tech2 scanner or better can.

I started a new thread to avoid hijacking.

Tiny differences in the tire will not cause the warning lights.
