Thumbs up My experience at the dealership today.

I was having some issues with my 09 HHR and had to take it to the dealer today. I called on 6/10/2011 and was able to get an appointment today if I was willing to leave it with them. I dropped it off last night and used the drop box for my keys. The front sway bar links were shot (no surprise there), the turn signal didn't always cancel, I had a CEL for an EVAP leak, a cracked gas cap, the blower motor made noise on the low setting, and a key fob suffering from bad solder connections. They fixed every single issue I have listed with no questions asked. They didn't try to sell me on any other services etc. Service writer explained all that was done to my complete satisfaction. I just wanted to post my positive experience. Often we only hear about the negative experiences.

I have not had a bad experience with our local dealer either. They were very responsive to the one warrantee problem I had, and have serviced the HHR regularly. Just have to watch for added services they suggest, like flushing the brake fluid when I last had it serviced. I asked them to test it, which they did, and it was still ok.

Honestly I think the majority of dealers are good and honest folks to deal with, its the bad apples you always hear about and they drag the reputations of everyone down with them.

Ben Mynatt Chevrolet in Concord NC always gives me the best service and they help keep my fleet/herd/gaggle/whatever running in tip top shape, no complaints and always a big for them.

I.G. Burton's Seaford Chevrolet is one of the good guys. Though I have only been there twice, I have left satisfied with the quality of work and the price I paid. Oh yeah, they wash your car for FREE after they work on it. (Good wash job too!)

Yeah my dealership always wants to wash mine, but they're always clean, no matter how hard I try....just can't get them dirty. Glad you have a good dealer up your way cosmic1, hang on to them.
