My new awesome LT!

Heheee... actually its a Colbolt LT. This is what the dealership gave me as a loaner. My white HHR is in today for a moonroof replacement, hatch struts replacement, arm rest fix and a little color sanding on the hatch edge. Hopefully this is the last time I will be visiting the dealer for a while. In the mean time, I gonna go see what this Colbolt can do......

OK, here is the next chapter in the life of my HHR. It went into the shop two days ago for a moonroof replacement and back hatch struts. The dealership called and says that they damaged the car taking out the moonroof unit. I went up and looked at it just now. They undid the bolts on one side of the unit without anyone holding it and because the glass was still in the frame, the weight made the othe side of the frame bump into the roof putting two small bolt "bumps" into the roof. No paint damage and it cant be seen to the naked eye, but if you run your hand over it, you can feel the two bumps. This dealer does not have a body shop, but the dealer body shop that they do use is the best in the area (even though its a Dodge dealer). I'm bummed out. I haven't even made a payment on this car yet and now it will be in the body shop for who knows how long. I guess I get to keep the Colbalt LT for a while....... maybe I can get a cool two tone paint job out of it!!! Ya right.

Personally I would try to get something out of the deal. With the vehicle going to a body shop to be repaired it will lower your trade in value in the end, assuming that any of us will ever get rid of our HHR's.

try to get your mind off it by takin' the dealers loaner cobalt out and thrash on it for a while. should get rid of the stress. (i assume you have insurance for it)
