Just call your dealer monday and make sure they have done what I posted above. As of April or May of this year the ASM (Area Service Manager) and the APM (Area Parts Manager) can not call about SPAC cases to get anything done like they could in the past. Since it's in the shop and your state has a 30day lemon law tell them you will file after 30 days. They contact ParTech and get SWAT involved and if it can be done they will get it for you. I've had to do it a few times for customers.

Is yours a auto? If so the cylinder is p/n 20869121 and it is on backorder. Find out if your dealer did what I posted about with the spac case and D2D link I had a customer with a 09 CTS and it uses the same cylinder I found it on D2D from another dealer had the part here on the 3 day's the part came in on the 20th of this month. There are dealers showing to have it but they have to call and see if they will sell it. I call 9 other dealers before I found one who said they could sell it.

Yes it an auto. I called the Chevy 1800 number and they called dealer along with the parts counter and said the only one that was available was in houston and they wouldnt sell it. I tried to call about the part number at 5:55 on Friday and they close at 6pm and all of a sudden everyone was gone and he was locking up. I understand people want to go home on Fridays but when a buisness is open till 6pm people should be there to help till then.
The new part is suppose to ship in Monday.

Personally like others have said I would not except there time frame and tell them that 6 to 8 weeks is totally unacceptable, period! I would deal with the Dealerships Manager and work him from there! If it's going to be that long ask them what they are willing to do for your inconveinence! Usually they want to make the customer happy! I noticed you plan on installing a Stage 1 Kit! Maybe they'll do the install at no charge for the inconveinence! Worth a try!

Ask the dealer if they have a spac case on the part. If they do then ask them if they ran it on D2D Link and called the dealers that show to have it and if they can sell it to Sprint. Now if there are no dealers and it is on a spac case they can call SPAC and request it to SWAT and that is as high as it can go. The districts managers can not help anymore like they did in the past the dealership has to do all the leg work to get it done amd sadly alot will not make the effort. HTH. Jason

THe first part is to have the dealer check other dealers to see if they have one in stock.
The second part I think [and he could correct me] is they can do a check of the parts network to see if any other areas have it.
These are things most good dealers do but with them telling you the turbo upgrade would void your warranty I assume they are not the kind of dealer I would do the right thing.
He also said what my dealer did can't be done anymore.
The question I have is how can they check for a part that had no part number. The pin in mine was part of a part and had no part number.

Well I made all the calls I can at the moment and left messges. I have an open case w/ Chevrolet, and Eugene will be calling the dealer and me back tomorrow. He tried calling the dealer today but they were closed at 2:45 pm local time.
Also left a message at the dealer asking for the number for the distric mannager's number and to have the dealership manager call me. Not sure how this will do anything as others have posted, but I am going to use all my options and get this hopefully resolved asap.
Did mention the lemon law on the last message and informed them that they only have 3 weeks according to the law. Hopefully this lights a fire under them. Thanks to whomever posted the lemon law info. I will def. be looking more into that this weekend. I would not have even thought of that as it is not a "lemon" in my mind. Good car still just missing a part gm is aparently incapable of sending to GB. Really dont want another car, just want mine back and in good shape. Def. regret my decision to get the brake pump since it was not even needed. Just scared my wife would rearend someone when she left in the mornings.
Hopefully monday brings better news.

Yes you are correct. SPAC case is the highest priority a dealer can give a part so they will know what it means. After that they have to wait 48 hrs for GM to try on there own then they got to do the leg work. The can call the SPAC department at GM and tell them the car is down and possible buy back and they will take it from there and send it to SWAT who has the power to pull parts from the line or directly from the vendor. The dealer can also run the number on the D2D link to try and fine a dealer to sprint the part to them (only if they have it on a SPAC case) BTW The D2D link is a national dealer locator for parts.
