New Flex Pipe Design?

I just bought a new CAT for my 07 HHR. mine was shot and I really didn't feel like buying a $500 one so I opted for a Aftermarket for $200 Shipped. I bought one of these 5 years ago, and bought one again last week. They must have a new design for the flex pipe. Check it out. I wonder if it's better than that other design.

People who have replaced more than one, typically have another issue...bad motor mount...That allows the engine to flex more than normal

but that does look different than the stock one for sure

Yeah I know, I had a broken motor mount. That has been fixed, only I have to replace the cat now. Will let everybody know how it works. I hot it from Partsgeek.com and it was $180 plus shipping. Manufacturer is Bosal.

Hope it doesn't set of codes and mess with the state emissions testing. The problem is that "after market" cats are not built to the same standards as OE. IIRC, they go by 1970's standards.
