Interesting to say the least.

Because everything on an HHR runs through the BCM(Body Control Module), I'm wondering if you may have an issue with that module or one of the connections to it.

The BCM either controls or correlates the following functions....

Power Locks
Cruise Control
Power Windows
Automatic Headlamps
Anti-Theft System (VATS/Passlock)
Door lock out protection
Courtesy Lights
Interior light Dimming
Remote Start (If equipped)
RAP (Retained Aux Power)
Daytime Running Lamps
Turn Signals
Hazard Lights
Factory Alarm
Windshield Wipers

You may wish to head to your dealer or technician for a diagnostics check with a Tech II scan tool.

Are you saying that was the problem? Or just random words?
